Places and Anything non Regular

Here you will see places not worth visiting however might make you change your mind.  A getaway from the norm accepted venues or places ... it sickening sometimes. wont hurt to pay them a visit (Details to follow)

Hang Out Bar
Located in Rotonda, Pasig City.  If there is an extreme opposite to a classy typical comedy bar, this is it.
Ambiance

The place is a little dark but you can still see the person seating right next to you.  Lights and decoration a little tacky but will do.  The place does not smell nice and does not smell bad either.  You will see poorly made tarpaulin type posters (some photos are in a way funny and cute)

Food

Is pretty much basic but tastes okay since its home style cooking.  not all items are available sometimes.  I like the fried chicken.

Drinks

Basic Prices for beers.  Dear God! Order beers only

Music/Sound System

Perfect for those who are into "Birits".  However if you want to sound nice, try not to compete with the supposedly comedians.  They may have problems with volume controls but it isn't something that will make your eardrums explode.  It's just loud but its okay.

The People
     The comedians

Some are good and some... I wouldn't say bad because even I dont have the talent,    skills and more of the guts bit to do what they are doing.  You can see all sorts.  Some seemed to have come from a late afternoon laundry activity, some are like drag queens from the old fashioned carnival trend, some drags will wear hip pads (they seem to look like as if they are carrying boxes on their hips.  Some are nice... accommodating and they do have talents!  one looks like a drag version of Manny Pacman.  The Owner whom everyone calls "nanay" is cool lady. very nice.  Some are just there for the sake of being there I guess.  It's more of a place for passer by comedians... like a training ground of some sort.

      The People

Real people.  Not intimidating or scary. Just regular people. a few times I was there, there was a birthday party.  To my surprise, the celebrant gave me a cake and lots of pulutan. Not only me but all of the customers who were there that night.  Nice eh?

      The Catch

A nice place to get away from the typical "sosyal" venues.  here you can sit down, laugh at the corny jokes, laugh at how the comedians compete (Birit) with the guests whilst singing.  Raise your feet up one chair (literally), while drinking a cold beer... you don't have to be dressed up... shorts and tee will do.  In a way it's nice also because I don't hear pinoy's talking in English with twang oozing right out of their noses (winks).

How do i trust thee?

How do I feel when people lie?  Just today i was told that I was mean for not believing that someone is sick.  I was told that the person was hospitalized and so I said "really?".  I don't believe her.  The person looked okay the last time she was here.  I was told that she was overheard throwing up in the loo and i said "I can do that too by sticking a finger to my throat".  "Gosh you are so meaaan" said with that judgmental - joke manner tone of voice.  But if I am allowed to defend my statement or the attitude I displayed towards the situation, first, let me ask to be heard... quite a few times this person lied to me and to others to the extent of compromising the welfare of others, therefore is a selfish act.  One time, this person asked to leave early because of not feeling well (with tears and droopy face and all that) but when this person went out of the building to go home, she was walking in a normal pace. Just on her way out, she spoke with someone in a very normal tone of voice.  oh oh by the way it was really hot outside.  she could have gotten a taxi or a tricycle (motorcycle with side car).  I am a compassionate person.  If ever she really is ill, I will do what I can do to help.  I even suggested that we give her something or visit her.
I just wish that people can be at least honest and should not lie specially if it will implicate the welfare of others.  I will be a hypocrite if I say that I am perfectly honest.  Of course I lied a few times but for sure, never did I do anything to sacrifice the welfare of others by doing so.
